Stuff to Know

In Case you are Curious

Where did you Go to School?

I went to Utah State University as a Graphic Designer and got my Bachelors Degree in Art there. Most of my focus was towards Printmaking and Ceramics but I worked in a lot of different disciplines in the Caine College of the Arts. I worked as a Graphic Designer for the Media Center at the School making Magazine ads, Newspaper Covers, and many other forms of advertising.

What got you started in Art?

My passion for Art started as a kid when my Grandmother would lay out a massive piece of paper over the kitchen table and have all of the grandkids doodle on it for a few hours. I credit her to my initial spark to draw but she also gets credit for my love of photography too. She gave me my first camera and her adventurous spirit is what inspired me to find beautiful locations. I hope to carry that on for all of my travels

What are your favorite projects to work on?

Lately I have been getting into Adventure Elopement Photography. Finding a beautiful place out in the world and making a set of photos meant to express their love and amazement for eachother and nature. So far I have been able to do a few in my local area but I am excited to see where I can get people to follow me to next.

Where have you Traveled to?

So far Ive only been out of the US once on a trip to Slovakia and Austria but hopefully that will change soon. For now all of my travels have been in the Western US from California to Washington and all the way out to Colorado. I tend to hike lots of mountains and out to a lot of waterfalls. I hope to visit most of the world by the end of my life.

Where do you get your inspiration?

I get inspiration from a lot of different things especially between each medium I use. My inspirations started with snake scales and feathers because of the way the shapes flowed with each other. I call these shapes Leaflets and I incorporate them into a large portion of my artwork just because I like them so much. My Photography inspiration comes from the communities I find online. I follow a lot of landscape photographers and people who travel the world finding the most beautiful locations. One day I hope to be doing the same.
